About Me

I admit it--I love beautiful things.  I love objects that tell a story and rooms that inform me about the people who inhabit them.  I am drawn to the old and worn as well as the shiny and new.  I have been reduced to tears at the theater by not only the story but the sets, and as Shakespeare put it in As You Like It, "I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it."  That is the feeling I would like to impart on the spaces I help to create.

As a small child I remember accompanying my mother on trips to the Goodwill long before it was in fashion.  As I think back, she was way ahead of her time and actually quite courageous as I knew of no other mother who shopped at the Goodwill as in those days it was for "poor" people.  Then again, perhaps we were poor, but I didn't know it!  Therein is the beauty.  Good taste has nothing to do with money and everything to do with style.  So, what I would like you to know about me is that it is about the journey, the thrill of discovery and the ability to create a space you could willingly waste your time in.
